Turned Loose

If someone would've told me 2 years ago that I was gonna choose culottes and wide leg pants over my precious skinny jeans, I would've surely laughed in their face. Well, as time went by, I found myself searching every store for loose and oversized clothing, especially bottoms, since for me this part makes the difference between feeling comfortable and wry.

These floral printed pants are my obsession at the moment and I really wish I'll find another similar pair to buy soon. They even have a chance to overcome my summer love for high waisted denim shorts, but we'll see about this...Writing these lines with a small headache and sunburnt skin (I love it when I make smart decisions, like spending half a day by the pool without sunscreen) makes me realize that I have an entire exam-free summer to play dress-up and see where fashion tastes take me... 😁

Vanilla Light

I feel like my university has decided to mess up our first month of summer and postponed the exam session as long as it could. That would be the reason why I am drowning right now in hundreds of pages of work, while most of my friends are on the verge of moving onto more appealing, weather appropriate activities. And even though in the past few weeks I have discovered a whole new level of procrastination, somehow things today have been so productive that I could afford to award myself with a blogging break.

I took these pics last week in a gorgeous sunset light. They weren't exactly part of the plan, so you'll have to excuse my not so dressed up look and the wrinkles on my dress. I am not so skilled in the art of ironing whatsoever, but the item still looks pretty dainty. And yes, despite the fact that I am too tall to wear it that way, the garment was created to be worn as a dress. I love the material and the flowy pattern which is creating the illusion of ruffles. Feel free to use my coupon code Diana 576 for it and other items that you like on www.vipme.com for orders over 50$.

Bow Me Dear

In between sneakers and hoodies, a part of me will always crave feminine, girlish, dainty garments. I think this is strongly related to my early childhood, when my mother used to dress me in pretty pink dresses and tie my hair up with big white ribbons. After I had earned the right to pick my own clothes I remember going through a 'pink detox' phase and having a crush on everything black and boylike. Looking back on that I think it is safe to say that my way of dressing today is pretty much explainable...

What is not very explainable whatsoever is my need to add tender touches to my looks lately, which is how I ended up picking this shirt. Its fabric is soft and the sleeve and back details are the main reason why I got it. It was a gift from www.vipme.com and I will link it below as well as some other similar items to what I'm wearing for they have a wide range of cool products. Also, if you like what you see on their website, you can use my code Diana576 for dollars off orders over 50.

I am ready for a summer full of bows, ruffles, and ribbons. 😋 😋

May Crush: Denim Jackets

There is a high chance that leather jackets will never be missing from my wardrobe, but lately I have been obsessing over almost every denim one that I have seen in the stores. I found myself buying 3 of them in the past months and I'm hardly helping myself from purchasing another one, considering the fact that summer is just a few days away. Truth be told, it hasn't exactly been the hottest Spring I have ever lived (in my entire 18 years of existence...) and since I was finding leather jackets a little too much and blazers slightly not enough, denim seemed like the right choice for the weather outside.

Another reason why I fell in love with them is because the more oversized one is, the better you're going to look in it, which isn't exactly the case with leather jackets. Or at least not my case. This comparison has to stop here until I have to name this post 'Denim Jackets Vs. Leather Jackets'. I'll leave below some really cool pieces that I found so you should check them out and see if my theories are accurate.  😜

Emerald

Somehow I managed to stay away from this blog for over a month now. Not that it would be the first time, but I really don't plan on making a habit out of this. One of the main reasons why I hate being away is that whenever I get back with a new blog entry, I completely mess up the setting and between the last outfit and the new one is usually no connection. But due to Bucharest's overwhelmingly warm weather it's actually not that bad this time...

Hint: I wasn't melting off completely in this long sleeve dress. Even though there were 26 Celsius degrees (and I could add 3 more considering that I was on the top of a building with no sign of shade anywhere), the silky material and the ruffle ending of the dress kept me cool. It is my favorite garment at the moment and that says a lot since I am very picky when it comes to prints. 💖 And probably the best part is the color 'cause I have nothing similar in my wardrobe and haven't seen something very much alike in the stores. You can shop for the floral print dress here and if you're looking for more one of really cool then take a look at the VIPme website.

Unbreakable

The thing with jumpsuits is that they're basically made for lazy people who are too damn passive to pick a top and some bottoms. Or that's just me. Either way, I can picture myself wearing them a lot in the near future, just hoping that it won't get to me like the backpack madness. Speaking of which, this cute little guy is the last one that I have to show off and I solemnly promise that I won't buy another backpack...in the next few months.

Blossom

You know how everyone makes jokes about women and their addiction to bags/shoes? As I am growing up I tend to understand them better and better. No matter how many pairs of sneakers I own, there will always be a certain type missing. Bags are needless to mention.

Lately, I have had a problem with mini-backpacks. I am still searching for the ideal one, the one that is stylish and small, but large enough to fit my basic stuff: purse, camera, phone. So recently, this weird mania got me buying 3 really similar backpacks in one week. None of them fully fits in the description above, but I got them anyway. Why? I have no rational answer for that. But look at this cute little one that I'm wearing...I just couldn't help it.

Black Interference

Never have I ever thought I'll find myself at the point where I'll be forcing the chill weather, but this rad bomber just had to be worn. Not to mention the backpack and the sunnies, but I'll get a lot more chances to overwear these two cuties.

I go crazy over items that can make you feel badass. I find these somewhere between girly, frilly, pink, flowerly stuff and basic, comfort zone-ish looks. A mesh top, a tiger on my back, a pair of patent boots...I still felt cool in these even though outside were like 25 Celsius degrees. One of my friends told me a while ago that he could surely identify which items I'd buy from a store because I have a pretty obvious style. I was like ' NOO, YOU CAN'T ', so he went ahead and left me speechless when he pointed out exactly what I would have and wouldn't have worn. I could only find that funny af since every time my dad feels overly loving and decides to buy me something to wear the gift ends up returned or given away...Mind sharing with him a few tips?

March Crush: Floral Prints

Loved them before, love them now when they're in trend and will continue loving them even when they won't be. My tomboy side melts whenever a pretty garment with floral prints is in the way. Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't dress myself up with these prints from head to toe, but some key items can surely transform an entire look. I found some really affordable, good-looking ones down below if you feel like mixing things up. After all, what better screams 'Spring' than flowers?

Pick A Side

There are clothes which we simply buy and bury them in the back of the closet until their time comes, and then, there are those garments that we patiently wish for, wait for, which makes buying them incredibly satisfying. I've waited for this hoodie from the day when The Weeknd's collaboration with H&M was announced to the moment when it actually dropped. Let's not focus on the crappy limited edition garments in the collection right now, there were a few worth the money... I had to buy the hoodie online because it was available exclusively there, so add another week to the delay. But ever since it finally came, I've been seeing it fitting in 90% of my outfits and hardly withhold from actually wearing it. This phase won't last, 'cause it happens with most of the new clothes that I buy, but I am convinced I'll still go for this hoodie over the other ones that I own in a few months from now. Isn't it weird how deeply we care for clothes after we link them emotionally?

And in case you wanted to, but couldn't get your hands on the cool products before they sold out, let me just say that some of The Weeknd's tour merch is available at Asos, here.
