One Of Those Days

Those 45 Celsius Degrees cannot stop me from wearing jeans, all right? Ok, that is not entirely true, but even though I was melting off in this outfit at 9 p.m. I have proudly pulled it off that evening. There are some days when I just don't feel like showing too much skin no matter the temperature and somehow out of all the possibilities it all comes back around jeans...and sneakers. 😁

Turned Loose

If someone would've told me 2 years ago that I was gonna choose culottes and wide leg pants over my precious skinny jeans, I would've surely laughed in their face. Well, as time went by, I found myself searching every store for loose and oversized clothing, especially bottoms, since for me this part makes the difference between feeling comfortable and wry.

These floral printed pants are my obsession at the moment and I really wish I'll find another similar pair to buy soon. They even have a chance to overcome my summer love for high waisted denim shorts, but we'll see about this...Writing these lines with a small headache and sunburnt skin (I love it when I make smart decisions, like spending half a day by the pool without sunscreen) makes me realize that I have an entire exam-free summer to play dress-up and see where fashion tastes take me... 😁

Somehow I managed to stay away from this blog for over a month now. Not that it would be the first time, but I really don't plan on making a habit out of this. One of the main reasons why I hate being away is that whenever I get back with a new blog entry, I completely mess up the setting and between the last outfit and the new one is usually no connection. But due to Bucharest's overwhelmingly warm weather it's actually not that bad this time...

Hint: I wasn't melting off completely in this long sleeve dress. Even though there were 26 Celsius degrees (and I could add 3 more considering that I was on the top of a building with no sign of shade anywhere), the silky material and the ruffle ending of the dress kept me cool. It is my favorite garment at the moment and that says a lot since I am very picky when it comes to prints. 💖 And probably the best part is the color 'cause I have nothing similar in my wardrobe and haven't seen something very much alike in the stores. You can shop for the floral print dress here and if you're looking for more one of really cool then take a look at the VIPme website.

Unbreakable

The thing with jumpsuits is that they're basically made for lazy people who are too damn passive to pick a top and some bottoms. Or that's just me. Either way, I can picture myself wearing them a lot in the near future, just hoping that it won't get to me like the backpack madness. Speaking of which, this cute little guy is the last one that I have to show off and I solemnly promise that I won't buy another backpack...in the next few months.

You know how everyone makes jokes about women and their addiction to bags/shoes? As I am growing up I tend to understand them better and better. No matter how many pairs of sneakers I own, there will always be a certain type missing. Bags are needless to mention.

Lately, I have had a problem with mini-backpacks. I am still searching for the ideal one, the one that is stylish and small, but large enough to fit my basic stuff: purse, camera, phone. So recently, this weird mania got me buying 3 really similar backpacks in one week. None of them fully fits in the description above, but I got them anyway. Why? I have no rational answer for that. But look at this cute little one that I'm wearing...I just couldn't help it.

Black Interference

Never have I ever thought I'll find myself at the point where I'll be forcing the chill weather, but this rad bomber just had to be worn. Not to mention the backpack and the sunnies, but I'll get a lot more chances to overwear these two cuties.

I go crazy over items that can make you feel badass. I find these somewhere between girly, frilly, pink, flowerly stuff and basic, comfort zone-ish looks. A mesh top, a tiger on my back, a pair of patent boots...I still felt cool in these even though outside were like 25 Celsius degrees. One of my friends told me a while ago that he could surely identify which items I'd buy from a store because I have a pretty obvious style. I was like ' NOO, YOU CAN'T ', so he went ahead and left me speechless when he pointed out exactly what I would have and wouldn't have worn. I could only find that funny af since every time my dad feels overly loving and decides to buy me something to wear the gift ends up returned or given away...Mind sharing with him a few tips?

Pick A Side

There are clothes which we simply buy and bury them in the back of the closet until their time comes, and then, there are those garments that we patiently wish for, wait for, which makes buying them incredibly satisfying. I've waited for this hoodie from the day when The Weeknd's collaboration with H&M was announced to the moment when it actually dropped. Let's not focus on the crappy limited edition garments in the collection right now, there were a few worth the money... I had to buy the hoodie online because it was available exclusively there, so add another week to the delay. But ever since it finally came, I've been seeing it fitting in 90% of my outfits and hardly withhold from actually wearing it. This phase won't last, 'cause it happens with most of the new clothes that I buy, but I am convinced I'll still go for this hoodie over the other ones that I own in a few months from now. Isn't it weird how deeply we care for clothes after we link them emotionally?

And in case you wanted to, but couldn't get your hands on the cool products before they sold out, let me just say that some of The Weeknd's tour merch is available at Asos, here.

Reminder

Lately my shopping behavior consists in picking up the oddest, not so basic stuff that I can find. Meaning that I probably wouldn't have thought of purchasing this gorgeous pair of embroidered boots a year ago, yet somehow I instantly knew they had to be mine when I came across them a few weeks ago. The same goes for the shirt and another bunch of garments I didn't even get the chance to show off. They say there's a time and a place for everything, so I'll just have to be patient for now...And, hopefully, start spending money more wisely.

Maybe Monday

A week ago I put real life on hold to visit Brussels. The fact that I decided to take a city break right at the beginning of the new semester seemed like the right decision to make, after all, who doesn't want an extended vacay? Once I got back, my getaway friends and I were the only lunatic ones who had no idea what planet they're on and missed the most important stuff from the lectures. And I still have no idea which subjects I'm on, dropped my phone in the water this morning, haven't slept 7 hours in a night since forever, and I could go on like this for a while...

Well, at least all it took was a quick vacation for the weather to finally allow me to lose the 8 layers of clothing and put on less. Now it already looks and feels like Spring, so you'll start seeing sunglasses, again, very often in my outfits. 😁

Callout

At this exact time last week there was a ravishing sun outside, while I was busting my ass off studying for my finals and thinking: 'Goddamn it, by the time I'm finished, the cold will be back!'. And so it was...And I can't even describe the bitter pain I was going through while shooting these pictures at -10 Celsius degrees with a tough wind blowing into my face. If it wasn't for photos, I would have been all wrapped up in a padded jacket with other 3 layers of clothing on me, looking like a freaking dressed up potato with legs (just like I regularly look during winter time).

Thank God that I still got a few cool pieces I can show off, like this badass wool cap or jacket that I've been absolutely in love with ever since I'd received them from Zaful, but I feel like I am running out of warm garments and patience, so, dear Spring, when the hell are you coming to Romania?? I know it's only February, but I expect at least a glimpse of warmth, a sun ray, anything over the freezing point...Effective immediately.

Spotless Mind

Quick insight about me: I hate cold. I've said it before and I will continue to complain every god damn season! I hate winter and snow and everything cold that it brings!

Ok, I don't really hate snow and I don't really am that hateful about anything in life, but looking at these photos taken a month ago and turning my head to the window right next to me brings me a lot of anxiety...

This month's been a real emotional roller coaster for me and not that I wanna rush into putting a label on 2017 yet, but I'm writing these lines with a pile of books on my side, that need to be read until next week. 🙂 I've already been a zombie for the last days so my twisted brain decided it was about time to put studying and real life on hold and prepare this blog post. Not at all mindless...

Fine Wine

These deadlines for uni assignments have kept me away for a while. Okay, actually the cold temperatures have also been a strong reason why I didn't wandered around the city to take pictures all the time. But you know that moment when you get some new clothes and suddenly you feel more open to the idea of going out? Well, receiving this cool faux fur coat from VIPme was exactly what I needed to keep me from hibernating.

VIPme is an online clothing store with their main office in San Jose, US. They offer a wide range of goods and have lots of collections featuring young designers. This means you'll find on their website basically every trend of the moment and key pieces all of us need in the wardrobe. I chose to collaborate with them not only because their products are high quality, but also because as a female fashion website, VIPme is positioning as a platform that empowers women to value individual perspective, to highlight self-awareness and to cherish the inner "you". Check more details about their movement here.

Since I have a thing for fluffy garments, I couldn't miss out on this awesome fur coat. I was pretty impressed by how soft the fabric feels and its burgundy color makes me wanna grab myself a bottle of wine and forget about all of them projects and deadlines for a night. Too bad I'll have to hold onto that thought for another while...

The good news is that I have a 5$ off Coupon Code you can use for orders over 50 dollars, DIANA430, which will be available two months from now. Also, you can get another Coupon worth 25$ if you register on their website. International shipping is free over 69$. Happy shopping!
